ASTD Tier List All Star Tower Defense – Tier S

Tier S are the best characters in All Star Tower Defense, the best of the best

Orange Head– Is a 6-star character based onGildarts Clivefrom theFairy Tailfranchise. He was obtained by evolving/openingChristmas Box II, and does not have any evolutions.

Expert Sorcerer– Is a 6 star ground and AoE (cone) unit based on the Mob Psycho 100 series character Reigen. It can be obtained with a 4/1000 (0.4%) chance from Royal Capsules. He’s also not part of evolution, and has a boon that, if equipped in one of his or her first three slots, causes the green sprite to follow the player.

Zaruto– Is a 3 star ground single unit based on Uzumaki Naruto from Naruto Shippuden. Zaruto can be obtained by first logging into the game with Koku and through Hero Summon.

Jin Mori (Martial Artist) – A 5-star AoE (round) unit based on Jin Mori from the anime “God of High School”. It can only be obtained from elemental variants of the endless mode leaderboard.

Old Will (Genryusai Shigekuni) – Is a 6-star unit based on the character Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto from the anime Bleach, the commander of the entire Soul Society in the anime. His fire-type Zanpakuto, the Ryujin Jakka, is believed to be the oldest and most powerful Zanpakuto in history. The only way to get it is to stay on the two-way endless mode leaderboard for a month and not participate in any evolutions.

Dark Wing– The Dark Wing is a 6 star leaderboard unit based on the character Ulquiorra Cifer, the 4th Espada from the anime Bleach. Only available to players who have spent a month on the Air Infinite Mode leaderboard. Darkwing is also the final boss of the second story mode quest in Inner World.

Death (Ryuk)– Deathis a 6-star character adapted from Ryuk in the animation “Death Note”. He can only attack through his manual abilities, and has many similarities to Kura (Darkness), both from the same series.

Ice X-Marine (Admiral Aokiji)– The Ice X-Marine is a 6 star unit based on the character Kuzan from the anime One Piece after retiring from the Marine Corps. It can be obtained by leveling up the Ice Marine in the Gun Rush game mode. For those asking the question, the difference between Ice X-Marine and Ice Marine is that Ice X-Marine does 5% more damage and costs 2,000 less. Everything else is the same, including abilities. The total candy cost to get the Ice X-Marine is 90,000.

The Boys (Eustass Kidd)– The Boys is a 6 star ground unit based on the character Eustace Kidd from the anime One Piece, also known as Captain Kidd. He is a secret unit that can only be obtained with a 1/2000 (0.05%) chance or trade via Hero Summon.

Tokens (Gotenks)– Tokens is a 6-star ground unit based on Gotenks (Super Saiyan 3) from the anime Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. It is a hybrid unit and the first unit in the game to evolve from a 3-star unit to a 6-star unit. It can be obtained by evolving Son Koken and Kid T as follows – Required Units ( x30 Kid T – x30 Son Koken – x5 Alien Soldier III)

Kosuke (Sasuke)– The Kosuke is a 3-star ground single-target unit based on Sasuke Uchiha from the manga Naruto: Shippuden. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon. He can evolve into Kosuke (Rogue) as follows – Requirements ( 2x Kosuke – 3x Sound Ninja)

ZIO (DIO) – The ZIO is a DIO-based 5-star ground and single-target unit during JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusade. He is the father of Giorno Chobana from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series. During upgrades, he has two different time-stopping abilities. It can be obtained by evolving Zio Brundo or by trading, as it has been removed from Hero Summon.

• He can be evolved from Zio Brundo using – Required Units ( x2 ZIO Brundo – x3 Vampire – x2 Vampire II – x2 Vampire III).
• He can be evolved in ZIO (ASCENDED) using – Required Units (x5 ZIO – x5 Jon Jo – x4 Vampire I – x4 Vampire II – x3 Vampire III – x2 Vampire IV)

Bellma ( Money Corp – Bulma) – Bellma (Money Corp) is a 4 star ground and support tower based on the character Bulma from the Dragon Ball anime series. It can be obtained from hero summons and newbie daily rewards, and is part of every evolution. She is a support character that will only give money to the player who places her, and will not deal damage.

• She can be evolved into Bellma (SUPER Money Corp) by using – Required units – ( 2x Bellma (Money Corp) – 2x Alien Soldier – 2x Alien Soldier II – 2x Alien Soldier III)

King of Heroes (Gilgamesh)– Is a 6 star ground single unit based on Gilgamesh when he uses his full power in the anime/visual novel Fate/Hollow Ataraxia and Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia. It can only be obtained through evolution gates. Each player can only use one King of Heroes and cannot sell them. Reduced Fury Orb effectiveness for this unit from 100% to 20% and Bomb Orb effectiveness from 30% to 6%. The effect of other bullets on the unit remains unchanged. When the King of Heroes is set as a leader, he will give himself an 11% attack bonus.

• Gate can be evolved by using these units – Required Units – (2x Gate – 3x Arruncur IV – 6x EXP III)

Zazashi The Zazashi is a 4-star ground unit based on the Naruto Hatake Kakashi character. Compared to most 4-star players, Tashi has below-average stats, which can be obtained through hero summons or novice daily rewards.

• He can evolve into Zazashi (Ultimate) using – Required Units – (2x Zazashi – 2xSound Ninja – 2xSound Ninja II – 1xSound Ninja III)

ASTD Tier List All Star Tower Defense – Tier A

Gate (Gilgamesh) – Gate is a 5-star ground and single-target unit based on Gilgamesh from the anime series Fate/Zero. Its low SPA and decent damage make it a useful starter unit for players in early story mode missions in the first world who don’t have a better unit. Its downsides are its single target attack and inability to attack air mobs. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon.

• He can evolve intoKing Of Heroes with the Required units: 2xGate– 3xArruncur IV – 6xEXP III

Bomba (Katsuki Bakugo)– Bomba is a 3-star ground unit based on the character Katsuki Bakugo, one of the main characters from My Hero Academia. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon.

• He can evolve into Bomba (Blazing) using this Required Units – (x25 Bomba – x3 Namu – x5 Namu II – x5 Namu III)

The Path (Nagato Uzumaki)– The Path is a 6 star ground and cone AoE unit based on Nagato Uzumaki (Edo Tensei) from the anime Naruto Shippuden when he fights Naruto, Uchiha Itachi and Killer B. Despite being placed on the ground, he still has the ability to hit airborne creatures at his fifth upgrade. It can be obtained by evolving Pang, and can be obtained by Banner Z with a 1% chance.

Madi Waifu– The Maid Waifu is a 6 star unit based on the character Rem from the Re:Zero series. It can be obtained by completing the Thanksgiving dungeon on November 25, 2021, or the other two dungeons.

Waifu (Rimuru Tempest)– Waifu is a 5-star unit based on Rimuru Tempest from the anime “The Time I Reincarnated as a Slime”. They can only be obtained through hero summoning.

• Waifu can be evolved intoDemon Lord by using this required units (x2 Waifu – x3Desert Ninja V – x3Super Mage V – x3Goddess V – x3Zio Agent – x3Ant Specialist V)

Legendary Borul LSSJ Broly (DBS)– Legendary Borul is a 5-star sky and AoE (full) unit character based on the character Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (LSSJ Broly) from the anime Dragon Ball Super, more specifically his movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly. It can only be obtained by evolving Borul, since its 5 star no longer appears in the hero call. In Update 7, January 1, 2021, Broly’s damage was increased by 80% from Update 4, and was immediately removed from the banner. In the April 26, 2021 Update, the Legendary Broly’s max upgrade was changed so that it does 168-343 damage at the start of each wave. In another update on May 13, his final upgrade cost was increased from 800 to 5,000.

• Legendary Borul can be evolved from Borul using these units: x3Borul – x4Alien Soldier II – x3Alien Soldier III

Crow (Itachi Uchina)– Crow is a 5-star ground unit based on the character Itachi Uchiha from the anime Naruto Shippuden. He is the main character and villain in the manga and anime. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon. Surprisingly, despite his attack animations, he doesn’t deal any burn damage.

• He can evolve intoCrow (After) by using this Required Units – x2 Crow – x3Sound Ninja II – x4Sound Ninja III – x2Apostle IV – x1Apostle V

Amen (Armin Arlet) –The Amen is a 5-star unit based on Armin Arlert from Attack on Titan Season 4. It can only be obtained through hero summoning, not part of evolution

Dungeon Queen (Asuna) – Dungeon Queen is a 6-star ground and AoE (cone) unit based on the character Asuna from the anime Sword Art Online. It can only be obtained through trading, although previously it was a reward for completing the second dungeon in the game.

Joke Da Fool (Hisoka) –The Joke Da Fool is a 5 star unit based on Hisoka Morow from the anime/manga series Hunter X Hunter. Due to its epic rarity, it can only be obtained from Royal Capsules at a 15/1000 (1.5%) chance. He didn’t evolve either.

Evil Shade (Hiei) –The Evil Shade is a 5 star ground cone AoE unit based on Hiei from the anime Yu Yu Hakusho. It can only be obtained through hero summoning and is not part of evolution.

Maniac (Kenpachi Zaraki) – Maniac is a 5 star unit based on Kenpachi Zaraki Zaraki from the anime Bleach. Kenbachi is the captain of the 11th team and one of the strongest Shinigami of the Gotei 13th team. It can only be obtained through hero summoning and is not part of evolution.

Jackzon (Muzan Kibutsuji) –Jackzon is a 5 star ground unit based on Muzan Kibutsuji from the anime Demon Slayer. It can only be obtained through hero summoning, not part of evolution. Jackson is also the final boss in the sixth story mode mission Snowy Village and Demon II.

Box (Ippo Makunouchi) –BOX is a 6 star ground unit based on Hajime no Ippo’s Ippo Makunouchi. Available through Christmas Box evolution and trading.

• He can be evolved fromChristmas Box using: x1 Christmas Box

The Assistant (Kabuto) –The Assistant is a 5-star unit based on the character Yakushidou from the Naruto series. It is only available from Royal Capsules and retailers and is not part of the evolution. If the player is equipped in one of the first 3 slots, he will get the new rest animation and the Chakra Scalpel in his hand.

Elemental (Ultimate) Kakuzu –Elemental (Ultimate) is a 6-star Ground and AoE (Cone) type unit based on the ultimate form of the Naruto Shippuden character Kakuzu. Its blessing is a combination of all other elements.

He can only be obtained by evolving eitherElemental (Fire),Elemental (Wind),Elemental (Water), orElemental (Lightning) using: x1Elemental (Fire) – x1lemental (Wind) – x1Elemental (Water) – x1Elemental (Lightning)

ASTD Tier List All Star Tower Defense – Tier B

Mountain Canon (Garp) –Mountain Cannon is a 5-star ground and AoE (cone) type unit based on the character of Luffy’s grandfather Monkey D. Garp from the One Piece series. Can only be obtained through the trading system. He is not part of any evolution.

Mag (Megumin) –Mag is a 5 star ground and single target unit based on KonoSuba’s Megumin. She will retire from Summon on September 26, 2021, and can only be obtained through trading.

• Mag can evolve intoMag (Bless) by using this required units – x2 Mag – x3Angel – x3Angel II – x2Angel IV – x2Angel V

Duhrain (Darui) –Duhrai is a 5 star ground and AoE (cone) tower based on Darui from the Naruto Shippuden series. It can only be obtained by trading, as it is retired and not part of evolution.

Future T (Future Trunks) – Future T is a 4-star ground unit based on the Future Trunks from the anime/manga Dragon Ball Z. It can only be obtained through Hero Summon or Novice Daily Rewards, and can evolve into Supa Future T.

• He can be envolved into Supa Future T using: 2x Future T – 2x Alien Soldier – 2x Alien Soldier II -2x Alien Soldier III

Bliding Lights (Fujitora) – Blinding Lights is a 5-star ground and AoE unit based on Admiral Fujitora (real name: Issho) from the anime/manga series One Piece. It can only be obtained through trade. In addition to being an unreachable entity, Blinding Lights also appeared in Trial 3, asking for the player’s help in defeating MrFlimFlam (Doflamingo) with Ruffy TS.

Koku Black Pink (Rosé Goku Black) – Koku Black Pink is a 5 star hill and cone AoE unit based on the Super Saiyan Rosé Goku Black from the anime Dragon Ball Super series. Available through Hero Summon or evolving Koku Black.

• Koku Black can be evolved into using: 2x Koku Black – 4x Alien Soldier – 2x Alien Soldier II – 2x Alien Soldier III
• He can evolve intoGod Black Fusion using: 2xKoku Black Pink – 2x God Black – 2xStrong Alien Soldier – 2xStrong Alien Soldier II – 2xStrong Alien Soldier III

Red Eye Warrior (Obito Uchiha) –Red Eye Warrior is a 5 Star Ground and Cone AoE unit based on Obito Uchiha from the anime Naruto Shippuden.

Note: Even though it’s an upgrade 3 animation, it doesn’t deal burn damage.

• He can be evolved into a 6-star, Red Eye Warrior Path, with the following units: x3 Red Eye Warrior – x3 Sound Ninja II –x4 Sound Ninja III – x2 Desert Ninja – x1 Desert Ninja III

Zyaya (Byakuka Kuchiki) –Zyaya is a 5-star ground and AoE (full) type unit based on Byakuya Kuchiki, from Bleach. It can only be obtained through hero summoning and is not part of evolution.

Shave (Razor) –Shave is a 6 star ground unit based on the character Razor from Hunter X Hunter. It can only be obtained through previous dungeons, not as part of evolution. When equipped in one of the first three slots, a white blessing will appear on your avatar, similar to Davis’s blessing.

Blonde Esper (Teruki Hanazaua) –Blonde Esper is a 5 star unit based on Teruki Hanazawa from the Mob Psycho 100 anime. It can only be obtained through hero summoning.

Flaming Tiger (Kyojuro Rengoku) – Flaming Tiger is a 5-star ground, burning, and single-target unit based on the character of the anime Demon Slayer Kyojuro Rengoku. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon.

Super Boo (Super Buu) –The Super Boo is a 5-star ground and cone AoE unit based on Super Buu from the Dragon Ball Z anime. He’s also a hybrid unit, meaning he can hit air creatures despite being placed on the ground. He also has a capsule unit based on his “Pure Evil Form”, called Evil Boo due to his copyrighted title. Super Boo has a unit-specific orb called the “Demon M Orb” that increases his initial damage by 600% and upgrades by 1000%.

Paper Beauty (Konan) –Paper Beauty is a four-star unit based on Konan from the Naruto anime. Available through Hero Summons and Newbie Daily Rewards.

• • She can also evolve into Paper Beauty (Awaken) using: 2x Paper Beauty – 2x Sound Ninja – 2x Sound Ninja II – 2x Sound Ninja III

Lucky Green (Yuno) –Lucky Green is a 5 star hill and cone AoE unit based on Yuno Grinberryall from the anime Black Clover. It can only be obtained through hero summoning and is not part of evolution.

ASTD Tier List All Star Tower Defense – Tier C

Tier C Characters in All Star Tower Defense are below the average

Spade (Ace) –The Spade is a 5 star mound, molotov cocktail and single target unit based on the character Portgas D. Ace from the popular manga and anime One Piece. He also deals burn damage to any enemy he attacks, and is only available through trades after he’s retired. On July 12, 2021, Spade received a unit-exclusive orb that increased his starting DMG by 600% and increased his DMG by 1000%. On September 24, 2021, Spade was buffed and received his fourth promotion.

Grizsloth (King) –The Grizsloth is a 4 star hill and single target unit based on the King/Harlequin from The Seven Deadly Sins and added in Update 5. It can only be obtained through Hero Summon or Novice Daily Rewards, and does not participate in evolution.

Boggi The Clown (Buggy The Clown) –Boggi “The Clown” is a 3-star unit based on the anime One Piece Buggy (aka Buggy the Clown). It can only be obtained through hero summoning and is not part of evolution.

Undertaker (Overhaul) –The Undertaker is a 5-star ground unit based on the My Hero Academia character Kai Chisaki AKA Overhaul. It can only be obtained by completing Raid 3, not as part of evolution.

Whitestache (Whitebeard) – Whistestache is a 5-star ground full AoE unit based on the character Edward Newgate (Whitebeard) from One Piece. It can only be obtained through Hero Summon and is part of 2 evolutions.

• • Whitebeard can evolve intoWhitestache (Final) by using: x2 Whitestache – x4Pirate Agent – x3Pirate Agent III – x2Pirate Agent IV – x1Pirate Agent V

Alligator (Crocodile) –The Crocodile is a 4-star ground unit based on the Crocodile from the anime One Piece (Mr. 0, the leader of Baroque Works). Can only be obtained through Hero Summon or Newbie Daily Rewards. He is not recommended to play with 3 or more other players as his stats are below average compared to other 4 star players. The crocodile is also the final boss in the final story mode mission on Desert Island.

• • He can be evolved intoAlligator (Awakened) using: 2x Alligator – 3xPirate Agent III – 2xPirate Agent IV – 2xPirate Agent V

Genie (Aladdin) – Genie is a 5 star ground and AoE (cone) character based on Aladdin from the Magi series. It can only be obtained by trading, as it has been removed from hero summons and is not part of evolution.

Ikki (Ichigo) –Ikki is a 3-star ground type based on the anime Shinigami Kurosaki Ichigo character. A 3-star character that can only be obtained through Hero Summon. Ikki also has a summer skin called Ikki (Summer) (see image below), which can be obtained by opening Super Fire Works, although it is no longer obtainable. Ikki (summer) units are not part of evolution.

Dimensional Alien (Hit) – Dimensional Alien is a 5-star unit based on Hit from the anime Dragon Ball Super. It can only be obtained through hero summoning, and can evolve into a dimension alien (Strong).

Airren (Eren Yeager) –Airren is a 5-star summoner and ground unit based on Eren Yeager from the Attack on Titan series. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon.

Humble-Swordman (Tanjiro Kamado) –Humble Swordsman is a 5-star ground and cone AoE unit type based on the character Tanjiro Kamado from the anime Demon Slayer. It can only be obtained through hero summoning and is not part of evolution. On his last upgrade, his attack changes to a cone AoE and deals bleed damage, likely pairing him with Nezichi.

Mina (Maka Albarn) –Mina is a 4 star unit based on the character Maka Albarn and her scythe Evans from the anime/manga Soul Eater. It can be obtained through Gem Summoning or from the Newbie Daily Rewards. With her DPS, AoE, low SPA, and bleed, Mina is a good mid-game character in the early story mode maps.

• • She can be evolved into Mina (Strong) using: 2x Mina – 2x Arachnid – 2x Arachnid II

Plant Man (Black Zetsu) –Plant Man is a 5-star summon unit based on the Black and White Jue from the Naruto Shippuden series. It can only be obtained by beating Raid 1. If sold or fed to other units before April 3, 2021, it cannot be obtained again even if the player beats Raid 1 multiple times. The update of the day allows players to do this to units they get from raids or trials.

Maskice (Haku) –Maskice is a 4-star ground unit based on Haku from the Naruto series, renamed to avoid copyright issues.

He can be evolved fromChristmas Gift II by using: x1Christmas Gift II

Xerxes (Edward Elric) –Xerxes is a 4 star ground and AoE (cone) type based on Edward Elric from the anime Fullmetal Alchemist. Available through Hero Summons and Newbie Daily Rewards.

Tier D

Tier D Characters in All Star Tower Defense are characters to avoid

Gash (Vash) – Gash is a 4 star unit based on the character Vash the Stampede from the anime Trigun. He does not evolve, and can be obtained with a 10% chance from the Hero Summon, the Daily Starter Rewards, or the Story Mode quest “The Green Man”.

Rodoroki (ASTD) –Rodoroki is a 4-star ground-type tower based on Shoto Todoroki, son of Endeavor from Boku no Hero Academia (aka MHA). Can only be obtained through Hero Summons and Novice Daily Rewards. He initially attacks by firing fireballs at enemies, and when he gains AoE cones and the ability to freeze enemies, he’s a single target type until his max upgrade. He can evolve into Rodoroki (Enraged).

• • He can be evolved intoRodoroki (Enraged) using: x2Rodoroki– x3Namu – x3Namu II – x2 Namu III

Anti Magician (Asta) –Anti-Magician is a 3 star hero based on the character Asta from the anime Black Clover. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon.

Killer (Killua) –The Killer is a 4 star single target ground unit based on Killua Zoldyck from the Hunter x Hunter anime. Available through Hero Summons and Newbie Daily Rewards.

Lex (Levi Ackerman) – Lex is a 4 star ground and single target unit based on the character Levi Ackerman from the Attack on Titan anime series. He can only be obtained through Hero Summon or Novice Daily Rewards, and deals Bleed damage when he upgrades a second time.

Lami (Nami) –Lami is a 3-star ground single target unit based on Nami from the anime/manga series One Piece. She is a skilled navigator and thief, whose attacks are designed to exploit and alter local weather conditions. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon.

Koro (Roronoa Zoro) –Koro is a 3 star ground and full AoE unit based on the character Roronoa Zoro from the anime One Piece. It can only be obtained through Hero Summon and can evolve into Koro TS.

• • He can be evolved intoKoro TS by using: x2 Koro – x3Pirate Agent

Ruffy (Monkey D. Luffy) – Luffy is a 3 star ground single target tower based on the character Monkey D. Luffy from the anime/manga One Piece (two years before the time warp). It can only be obtained through hero summoning and evolves into Luffy TS.

• He can evolve into Ruffy TS using: 2x Ruffy – 3xPirate Agent

Zazashi (Kakashi) – Zazashiis a 4-star ground unit based on the characterKakashi Hatake from Naruto. Zazashi boasts below average stats compared to most 4-stars and can be obtained from theHero SummonorBeginner Daily Rewards.

• • He can evolve into Zazashi (Ultimate) using: 2x Zazashi – 2xSound Ninja – 2xSound Ninja II – 2xSound Ninja III

Koku (Goku) – Koku is a 3-star hill and single-target unit based on the character Goku from the anime/manga series Dragon Ball. You also get Zaruto when you join the game. He can evolve into Super Koku, further evolve into Ultra Koku, EVEN FURTHER BEYOND into Super God Koku, and EVEN MORE FURTHER BEYOND into Aqua Koku. Koku can also drop as a fusion unit of Kovegu and Veguko. Can be obtained through Hero Summon, or when entering the game for the first time.

• • He can be evolved intoSuper Koku using: 2x Koku – 3xAlien Soldier

Hammer Giant (War Hammer Titan) – Hammer Giant is a 5 star ground and cone AoE unit based on the Warhammer Titan from the Attack on Giant anime. It can only be obtained by beating Raid 2. If it is sold or gifted to another entity before April 3, 2021, it cannot be obtained again even if the player completes Raid 2 multiple times. In the April 3, 2021 update, units can be obtained twice from Raids and Trials.

• • Two Hammer Giants are required to evolve an Airren into an Airren (Final).

Yoshaga Kiryu (Yoshikage Kira) –Yoshaga Kiryu is a 5-star ground single-target unit based on Yoshikage Kiryu from the anime JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. He can be obtained by beating Trial 2 in Normal or Hardcore mode, and has a manually activated ability called Detonate Bomb. Units that are originally rewards for looting and trials can only be obtained once, and if sold or fed, they cannot be obtained again by completing the loot or trial again. However, on April 3, 2021, this rule was removed, so now whenever players successfully complete Trial 2, they will be rewarded with a Yoshaga Kiryu.

Togi (Himiko Toga) – Togi is a 4 star ground, bleeding and single target unit based on the character Himiko Toga from the anime My Hero Academia. Togi is good for use with Nezichi, who can only hit bleeding enemies. Togi is also the final boss of the Blood Addict story mode quest in Hero Dome. Obtainable via Daily Starter Rewards or Hero Summon.

Koku Black (Goku Black) –Koku Black is a 4 star unit based on Dragon Ball Super’s Goku Black. He can get hero summons and newbie daily rewards.

Uru (Uryu Ishida) –Uru is a 3-star Air and single-target tower based on the character Uryū Ishida from the anime Bleach. His Reskin Winged Uru is only available through Twitter Social Rewards. Can only be obtained through Hero Summon.
